So i decided to do some street photography and what better place to do it in my home city than MG Road. This place is filled with street hawkers of every kind - food, fashion, flowers, footwear, food for thought(books) , fakes...check check and double check!
Me and my school bud Chetan hit the street in search of that elusive natgeo shot, the kind that would hurtle us from being cubicle dwellers into the most famous photographers in the world. Maybe the wilderbeast or perhaps the annoyed elephant we'd capture, but instead we ended up being watched by meercats. Yes, people seem to feel that anyone with the camera are "PRESS PEOPLES" and either start following you (like hyenas), watch scared from a distance (like meercats), run away with an imitation of gnat infestation (chimpanzees being chased by bees) or pose unabashedly(peacocks)!
Nay, we were looking for those jaguars (street hawkers) who studied their prey, waited patiently for the moment and pounced when the opportunity presented itself. With the mystery solved that we were not Press Peoples, people left us alone after a while. That is when we got a chance to photograph the jaguar in his own element....some attached below for your viewing pleasure.
